Want to know a little bit more about Lendrick Muir, SU Scotland’s outdoor adventure centre? You’ve come to the right place!
About Lendrick Muir – a Christian outdoor activity centre
Back in 1998 SU Scotland was given a generous donation to enable them to buy and develop an outdoor activity centre. The idea was to create a base that would be just right for running SU HOLIDAYS, but provide an opportunity to expand and develop in all sorts of other ways too.
SU Scotland’s outdoor adventure centre opened its doors in 1999 and since then has gone from strength to strength, welcoming children, young people and adults too, to enjoy everything it has to offer. We are continually working hard to maintain and develop the centre, adding new outdoor activities and improving the buildings.
FIND US and come and visit – there’s really no substitute!
Activities at Lendrick Muir are governed by SU Scotland’s Safety Management System which responds to the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and Associated Regulations, and in particular the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations 2004. All activities have an element of risk. Whilst we do all that we can to manage this risk there is still potential for injury. We ask all participants to be aware of this.
Lendrick Muir has been granted a licence by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) to provide adventurous activities for young people. Our centres are managed by members of the Association of Heads of Outdoor Education Centres and registered with a number of local authorities as accredited providers. Confirmation of the licence contents can be checked online at AALA.
All appropriate staff have undergone basic first aid training.
Full liability insurances are held by SU Scotland for Lendrick Muir. We do not cover cancellation or loss of personal property, and would encourage participants to ensure they are appropriately insured.
About SU Scotland
Our vision is to see the children and young people of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.
As a Christian charity we are part of the worldwide family of Scripture Union movements that began nearly 150 years ago and now operates in over 120 countries across the world. In Scotland around 2,000 volunteers are supported by over 100 staff and associate workers. We work in partnership with local churches wherever we can, training, equipping, and working with children and young people. Wherever you find children and young people – in schools, on holiday, in local communities or online – you’ll find us providing opportunities to explore the Bible and respond to the significance of Jesus whilst making friends and having fun.

Come in the Holidays
During the school holidays, Lendrick Muir is home to a variety of SU HOLIDAYS. Some weeks have a particular theme such as music, drama or football – others just have a little bit of everything. All of them are great fun, and that’s not just us saying that!
From 2015 – 2019, Lendrick Muir became home to SOUL SURVIVOR SCOTLAND . Thousands of young people from all over Scotland converged on Lendrick Muir. If you missed out, don’t worry. In summer 2020 Lendrick Muir is hosting a brand new event FESTIVAL 2020.
Come for a school week in term-time!
Weekdays during term-time we’re busy with CLASSROOM OUTDOORS. We run residential events for Primary and Secondary schools tailored to Curriculum for Excellence.
