About Lendrick Muir – a Christian outdoor activity centre

Lendrick Muir building with blue skyBuilt originally as a family home in the 1870s, Lendrick Muir has undergone many changes over the years. From a home to a hospital, to a residential school and finally to a Christian residential outdoor activity centre!

Back in 1998 SU Scotland was given a generous donation to enable them to buy and develop a residential outdoor activity centre. The idea was to create a base that would be ideal for running SU HOLIDAYS. Since then Lendrick Muir has grown and developed and provided countless churches, youth organisations and schools with a brilliant setting for a residential break.

For over 20 years Lendrick Muir has hosted children and young people from Scotland and further afield. With 165 beds, over 20 outdoor activities, lounge and meeting facilities and a choice of catering options, Lendrick Muir is a great choice for a group residential. So whether you’re looking for a day conference venue or an action-packed weekend, we’ve got it covered.

So, if you are looking for a residential activity centre that

  • is in Scotland and within easy travelling distance of Glasgow and Edinburgh
  • offers a programme of Activities run by qualified instructors
  • has options for catered and self-catered events
  • has a range of sleeping accommodation

then Lendrick Muir is the place for you.

Because each weekend is tailored to your individual groups needs, it is not possible to book online. Please contact us to make an enquiry by email or phone. We’re happy to chat through the many options and possibilities. Check out our Guide to Making a Booking for more details.

About SU Scotland

Our vision is to see the children and young people of Scotland exploring the Bible and responding to the significance of Jesus.

As a Christian charity we are part of the worldwide family of Scripture Union movements that began nearly 150 years ago and now operates in over 120 countries across the world. In Scotland around 2,000 volunteers are supported by over 100 staff and associate workers. We work in partnership with local churches wherever we can, training, equipping, and working with children and young people. Wherever you find children and young people – in schools, on holiday, in  local communities or online – you’ll find us providing opportunities to explore the Bible and respond to the significance of Jesus whilst making friends and having fun.
