New Year Resolutions – Is Volunteering on your list?
13 December 20222022 end of year news

It is so good to be able to share with you some of what’s happened during 2022 here at Lendrick Muir Outdoor Residential Activity Centre. The Lord has been so good to us here at Lendrick Muir despite the many challenges of staff shortages.

Big Celebration Aug 2022
We’ve had 207 different groups at Lendrick Muir – Schools, churches, youth groups and Camps, and we saw 8261 people come through our doors. That’s amazing! We’ve had great opportunities to share the Good News with so many people.
The Year started a bit slow with the Omicron spike in January which led to a few cancelations. Throughout the year we saw slightly smaller numbers in the groups visiting but less complete cancelations.
In May we launched the Development Appeal for a new Climbing wall and to fund a fair amount of investment in the Sports Hall like: new flooring, heating, painting and acoustic improvements. The idea is to use the hall not just for sports activities but for large meetings as well. Thanks to generous people like you we raised over £200 thousand pounds! Incredible.

We are implementing those improvements now during the winter months.
We’ve had great summer SU Holidays camps from Football to Baking camp! (Bookings are now open for 2023 events!) Kids really engaged with the Bible teaching and were so excited to be with their friends again. In July we hosted the first onsite SUS Magnitude festival. It was a great success with many young people committing their lives to Jesus during that event, which is wonderful.
In October we hosted an amazing Assemblies of God camp with every bed in the whole house occupied! An incredible week for those young people.
Now in December we are catching up with Team Training, Sports hall projects and Recruitment as we are still short of staff. We would appreciate your prayers for the Lendrick Muir Team. We’ve worked really hard this year to deliver all those events and we would love to see a few more people to join the team. Maybe 2023 is the year that you join us as a volunteer??
I hope that this newsletter encourages you. Our God is doing amazing things here, touching young people’s hearts and transforming them.
I pray that you will have a wonderful Christmas celebrating the birth of our Saviour Jesus with your close ones.
Thank you for your prayers and support
Blessings
