The essentials for a weekend away
4 April 2025Merry Christmas 2024

and so we've come to the end of another blessed year
Merry Christmas from Lendrick Muir

It was a cold evening in late November when I heard a noise outside my office. Curious, I went to see who was there. There in the Crush Hall stood a 13 year old girl looking for something. I asked her, “Can I help?”. She said that she was looking for a Bible! It became apparent that she was a pupil from a local residential school where they know that at Lendrick Muir you can find a Bible! Without hesitation I grabbed a nice Story Bible from the Book Nook and gave it to her. The smile on her face said it all, she got what she came for!
I was so touched by that encounter. How nice is to know that this place is known for Bibles! Praise the Lord!

I want to thank you for all your prayers and the support you have given us; we’ve had an incredible year here at Lendrick Muir. Above is a photo of our 25th birthday cake being cut at the Big Celebration. Myra Cathcart, on the left, was instrumental in purchasing Lendrick Muir and George Chalmers, on the right, ran the very first camp with his wife Audrey back in 1999!
This year we had 286 different groups in at the Centre, 10,786 Children and young people came through our doors in 2024! We prepared 37,827 meals and cleaned the House 286 times! It takes a fair amount of time to clean a 165 bed house. If you'd like to join our house team please get in touch.
The Lord is at work, and He is continuing to move through this place touching people’s lives. The Magnitude event this year was the biggest I have ever seen! I think there was something like 1500 people on site that week! Such an amazing thing to see an army of teens praising the Lord!
Our team family has grown too. We had a new baby in the team. Cat, one of our Activities Instructors, welcomed baby Aviana in September. Callum has joined the Activities Team as a Trainee Instructor and in January Stuart will begin as our new Schools Host. There’s also been wedding bells ringing with Matt from Facilities and Justin from Activities getting married over the summer.
We are now moving into winter projects mode. We will be doing a lot of maintenance tasks - painting, replacing floors in the kitchens, fitting some carpets, installing a new bathroom in one of the staff houses, decorating the Kilpatrick Room, and a fair bit of training for the team.
