Lendrick Muir Development Appeal 2022

Will you GIVE to support the growing ministry at Lendrick Muir?

Lendrick Muir has been working with children and young people for over 20 years. Since opening in 1999, we’ve seen countless times the invaluable benefits for these young people of residential breaks, outdoor activities and most importantly the freedom to explore the Bible. So please help us continue to positively impact the lives of Scotland’s young people by donating to our Development Appeal.

Lendrick Muir is in a period of rebuilding following the impact of Covid-19. We therefore see now as the right time to lay foundations for future growth. We are seeking to

  • broaden the reach of our ministry
  • extend our school residential season into the Winter months
  • build extra capacity into our building and activities provision

Paul Bayton, Director of Centres and Resources explains why now is the right time to lay the foundations for future growth.

Lendrick Muir’s ability to grow is limited by the facilities and the number of activities we can provide. This is why we are looking to develop the Games Hall into a multifunctional space.  We plan to add an indoor climbing wall, replace the floor, improve the heating, and add sound suppression. We’ll also install moveable, tiered seating to create an auditorium facility. Read more about the exciting indoor climbing wall project.

Garry talks about the benefits of a climbing wall session for his pupils from Drummond School.

In addition, improving guest comfort is a priority for the Centre. Essential maintenance is required to repair and replace some of the sash windows and double-glaze others. Moreover, to prepare for greater guest numbers and comply with current standards we also need to replace a septic tank and upgrade the waste system. The time has come to make essential repairs to the flat roof of the link building. The roof is already leaking in places and repairs must be made before further damage is caused.

All these improvements would greatly enhance the experience of the 10,000 guests that we are honoured to welcome in typical year. We are really excited by our vision to expand our ministry.
