Great Things He Has Done by S Ross

A call came from out of the blue

With the incredible message,

“I have some money for you”.

So, the Million Pound group stepped out in faith

To find a centre where God’s youth could be based.

In ’98 Lendrick Muir was bought.

There was much work to be done

But the place hit the spot.

In ’99, paint still wet, beds in parts

The campers arrived,

God’s Word changed young hearts.

As the years have gone by

The guest numbers have grown.

School groups and youth groups

Have found a home from home.

Year Team, now Gap Year, have served, cleaned and led.

Both with dinners and Scripture kept the young people fed.

Our outdoor activities have changed throughout time.

We’ve got Climbing, Bushcraft,

Rafting, King Swing, Nightline.

Solar panels, biomass boiler and a composting loo

Have helped us look after the environment too.

But one thing that’s not changed,

One thing remains true.

We’ve a heart for God’s children,

Our vision’s not new.

That God’s Word would be opened, and Jesus found.

Young lives changed by His Spirit – that’s worth 10 Billion pounds.

Lendrick Muir has been open for 25 years.

There’s been laughter, rejoicing, struggles and tears.

His people have volunteered, donated and prayed

Seen miracles happen and commitments made.

We’re thankful for our supporters, each and every one

But to God be the Glory, great things He has done.
